Locals supporting locals

We have developed positive relationships with the businesses and community groups in Girgarre.
Our weekly lunch orders are provided by Gargarro Botanic Gardens Café. Joel, Leon and the amazing team ensure that our students are provided with delicious, affordable options to purchase each week and deliver the items directly to our door.
Sandy, Barry and the team at Girgarre Post Office look after our paper supplies and source us the best value options. We also do our banking through the Post Office which is convenient for us and another way of supporting local services.
Dunstall Rural Supplies has plenty of stock that means we can often make small repairs to items around the school without having to travel to source parts and supplies.
Forbes and Summers run our school bus and are our first choice of provider for local excursions. They always ensure that our students arrive safely at school and take great care of us when we are out and about in the community.
The Girgarre Football and Netball Club have generously allowed us to use their venue for fundraising events that we’ve held over the years and are usually our first choice of venue for our Grade 6 graduation luncheon at the end of each year.
The Girgarre Development Group ensure that there is always a vacant spot for us at the Girgarre Farmer’s Market when we are holding fundraisers.
The Girgarre Open Gardens Festival have invited us to run the BBQ at this incredible event for the last few years and we have loved serving the community.
Noel, our groundskeeper extraordinaire, collect cans and bottles from the Girgarre Market and then takes them in for recycling as part of the Container Deposit Scheme. The funds come straight back to our school, and we use this to film our end of year concert, providing every family with a copy of the production.
Finally, the general community of Girgarre are never too busy to help us out. There are many friendly faces in town who have generously donated their time, money, idea and advice to us when we have needed it. We love the support that we receive from the people of Girgarre and surrounds, and aim to ensure that we also give back in any way that we can.
