We have established ourselves as a thriving educational community that focuses on supporting students academically, socially and emotionally throughout their primary school journey. We aim to be the first choice of education provider for all families with children residing in Girgarre and the surrounding district by delivering evidence-based teaching and learning programs, a wide-range of specialist programs in sport, science and the arts, and a comprehensive extra-curricular program, all within a calm, nurturing and supportive learning environment.

Our committed team of teaching and education support staff cater to the individual learning needs of students and we have a strong focus on improving student learning growth. Staff collaborate as a Professional Learning Community, using student data to design and refine engaging learning programs that align with best practice in literacy and numeracy.

Our school is well-resourced, both inside and outside the classroom. Students have access to modern technology, including 1:1 laptops, the latest novels to read (alongside the classics!) and a wide range of learning resources and tools that are available for all students to access independently as required. Our outdoor grounds are spacious, well-maintained and provide ample space for students to be physically active.

We actively try to remove any barriers that families may face in attending or accessing the quality educational programs that are offered at Girgarre Primary School: we run a school bus service within our zone, all students are provided with a free uniform upon enrolment at our school and most extra-curricular activities and excursions are heavily subsidised or provided at little to no cost.
