Enrolling you child at Girgarre PS

General Enrolment Process:

Congratulations on taking the first step in creating an amazing primary school education for your child.

Please contact the school office or call us to request an enrolment form. Providing a copy of birth and immunisation certificates are a requirement of enrolment. Upon enrolment, families will also be required to provide contact details, emergency contact details and any relevant health information about your child.

Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.

Students who live within the school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Our school also has additional capacity available to welcome students who are outside of our school zone. To find out whether you live in zone, visit the Find My School website.

Children can enrol at Girgarre Primary School at anytime throughout the year and at any year level. We are a welcoming and open school and encourage you to visit the school at anytime to do a school tour and see the potential your child will experience.

Our office is open from 8:30am until 3:30pm from Monday to Friday.

Please contact us to start your child's journey.

Student levies:

In 2024, Girgarre Primary School does not request any payments or contributions, and all services are provided at no cost to parents/carers; some camps and excursions do attract a highly-subsidised payment.

All supplies that are necessary for school (including, books, paper, pencils, tissues, etc.) are also provided by the school at no charge to families.
